No matter what trend I venture off with, there’s always a few key pieces that have captured my heart: A fun skirt and a cool crop top. So naturally when I saw this quilted skater skirt and electric blue crop sweater, I knew they would be coming home with me.

It’s everything I adore in an outfit…the skirt is edgy and fun, while the sweater is cozy, chic, and has a peek of sex appeal. The feminine heel’s nude front elongates my legs, making a quiet yet unique statement with the black t-straps and brown backings…Adding to the mix is my latest favorite bag that has an attitude all of her own! If I would have to describe my style with one outfit, it would definitely be this! Fun, feminine and perhaps with a bit of attitude. :)

What’s your signature style or do you have a look you are always drawn to?

The weather was so warm this weekend that it prompted me to pull out this H&M watercolor floral tank dress. I love how all the colors are splashed together into this pretty floral print. The stretched cotton fabric with a low back detail was perfect for a night out, but for daytime, I layered it with a crisp white blouse.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and for those who celebrate, Happy  Chinese/Vietnamese New Year! xoxo

Perhaps I just have a weakness for dangerous studs delicately wrapped around my ankles and down the back of my heels because when I saw these babies, there were no such thing as “no K, you don’t need this.”

These Valentino studded ankle strap sandals from the Fall 2012 Rockstud collection features pyramid studs, red leather, double adjustable blush ankle straps and a strip of smaller studs down the back of the heel. That little sucker behind my ears who frequently tries to discourage me from buying certain things was quickly shut down. No regrets here! :)

Made this pencil skirt with my favorite bow details from the left over materials from this pleated (faux) leather skirt, but I probably won’t be making another one of these for a while. Sewing with faux leather, pleather, or vinyl can be pretty tricky and time consuming and if you’re not careful you can rip the material on top and sometimes it can take hours to complete the project…I was pretty happy with the results but my back wasn’t. lol

The Aries Girl

The month of April has come and gone but when I put on this outfit for date night this past Saturday, I can’t help but think of an Aries Girl… Red signified confidence and strength while leopard is fun and vivacious. The spikes on the plated belt, well that’s just dangerous! Raaarrr!

I don’t really follow daily horoscopes or will let astrology foretell my future, but sometimes reading astrology profiles kind of freak me out because it can be so right on. Some of my all time favorite astrology descriptions are from Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs…Below is the Aries Girl.

“The Aries girl will open her own doors. She’ll also put on her own coat, fight her own battles, pull out her own chair, hail her taxi without any masculine help. Doing it herself is, to her, the fastest way to get it done. People will tell you an Aries woman is completely masculine, but don’t you believe them. She’s all woman underneath her flashing, forceful exterior, perhaps too much women for the average man. But, of course, a knight in shining armor isn’t an average man.

The Aries girl will help you find your lost illusions and she’ll have a fierce faith in all your dreams. You don’t have any? Borrow some of hers. She has plenty to spare. If you can turn the ram into a lamb, you’ll have a woman who is honest and passionate, loyal and exciting-though she may be a little impulsive, bossy and independent. Well, you can’t have everything, you know. If you believe in her just half as much as she believes in you, you could make some miracles together…”

Have you checked out your sign here? I’m curious to know if it’s accurate for you…

I have been looking for a pair of Louboutin leopard print pumps for over a year and could never find the perfect classic and versatile pair that’s not sold out. As soon as these Filo pumps were released, I quickly ordered them. Don’t be fool by the heel height on the NM website, it’s totally comfortable and the 1 inch platform provides added comfort. If you’re interested in the fit, it runs pretty true to size but like all new shoes it’s slightly snugged in the toes which I’m sure will stretch after a few wear. But for these babies, I’ll trot in them until my toes fall off! :)

Happy Monday lovelies and thank you for stopping by! xo

“We’ve got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can’t just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it’s going to get on by itself. You’ve got to keep watering it. You’ve got to really look after it and nurture it.” -John Lennon

One of my summer’s wardrobe essential has got to be a pair of white high-waisted shorts. But I find it difficult to find a pair of white shorts that’s perfect. It’s usually too thin and everyone can see your pink neon panties (what? isn’t everything neon these days?) or it’s riding up your who-who whenever you move. That’s definitely annoying! So I was pretty delighted to find these Zara shorts to be just the right fit and have just the right amount of material.

With the proper fit and material, white shorts can be comfy, chic, and best of all, it’ll never go out of style…Paired your shorts with a loose cropped tank for day and eased into night with a silky blouse or dark blazer. In addition to its longevity, the versatility of white shorts definitely gives it another good reason why owning a pair is a must.

Ladies: What’s your verdict on white shorts?
