Not sure if you can tell but I’m quite fond of this bold combination of leopard on leopard. I decided to mixed the colors (instead of having the print in one tone) to break up the print and give it some dimensions. The colors are bright, bold, and so perfect for summer!

A girl can never have too much leopard print in her life…and what’s even better is when the leopard is a color! I’ve always been a little addicted to animal prints but leopard print has always been my favorite. Why? Well, besides the obvious sexy and wild charm of the leopard, this print just has a personality of it’s own. It’s confident, independent, sassy and a go-getter. When I’m wearing leopard print, I’m instantly in a different mood. It’s almost like the caffeine of fashion…a pick-me-up. :)

What about you… What are your thoughts on leopard?

It’s really hard for me to stay away from colors and by now I think I will just give up trying. For me, colors are appropriate for anytime of year. It’s never about what’s on trend or in style, but it’s all about how I feel and what makes me happy…and purple is my year round happy color (it was also my wedding accent color)!

What I love about this fabric (besides the amazing vibrant purple and feeling totally regal in this skirt) is that the fabric is soft and lightweight, it has this cool 3D texture and when pleated into a skirt, it created this beautiful flare shape all on it’s own with any additional help from a tulle liner (or petticoat). I paired this skirt with a black and white crop top and kept everything else simple but I can’t wait to try something bright and fun like color-blocking or casual with a chambray top or solid top.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I have kinda been on a midi skirt over-dose lately and needed an emergency break from the girly girl look. Since this is a jersey skirt with a basic stretch waist band, I wanted to add shape to my waist by pairing it with a high waist belt and layered the outfit with an vest to tone down the wild animal print….My leopard skirt with it’s fire engine red, a casual tee and layered gold necklaces were the perfect pick-me-up today!
