Happy day-after Sunday! The classic tee is usually my favorite weekend getup but I love to take it out of it’s casual movie-on-the-couch role and give it a little bit of a dressy twist. I paired my tee with a printed skirt, metallic pumps, and lots of bright accessories for that chic summer look.

A few quick-n-easy ways to dress up a casual tee this summer is by adding a sexy pair of heels like in outfit 1; pairing with a feminine maxi skirt and fancy flats like in outfit 2, and adding a chic   skirt and metallic pumps like in outfit 3. I love all three for different occasions…

Which one if your favorite?

Hello beautiful! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a nicely stuffed and relaxing 4-day weekend.

Although I love over-the-top prints and opulent embellishments, sometimes it’s good to stripped back to basics with a monochrome palette of black and white. After my H&M trousers started sagging in the rear (wore them only twice), I have been looking for a nice form fitting pair of high-waisted trousers and found the perfect pair at American Apparel this weekend. I love the high waist, pleat detailing and the perfect length that (finally) didn’t require hemming! These pants will be a wardrobe staple of mine that I’ll be wearing with a variety of blouses, tees, sweaters or crop tops. Let’s hope they won’t stretch or sag like the last pair. :)

Happy Monday!

xoxo,

A Pop of Color

The combination of black and white exudes timeless elegance and always bring me back to the glamorous 1920s, where white lace dresses accessorized with black gloves and darling pearl necklaces were the norm for a Friday evening dinner…Nowadays we’ll frequent dinner in our comfy jeans, tee and sometimes flip flops. Style has definitely changed throughout the decades but one thing has always remain: the classic combination of black & white will never be a thing of the past.

Snapping back to the year 2012, I’m wearing an outfit with the two color combo of that decade I admire so much…slightly dressed with a modern twist in crochet shorts and a loose blouse. There are no gloves nor pearls, but I’m accompanied by my new modern friends: hot pink wallet and lots of neon bracelets…B&W is timeless but no matter what I do or the time of year, I just can’t seem to stay away from colors… :)

What about you? Are you a black and white lover or do you crave color in your wardrobe?
