It’s really hard for me to stay away from colors and by now I think I will just give up trying. For me, colors are appropriate for anytime of year. It’s never about what’s on trend or in style, but it’s all about how I feel and what makes me happy…and purple is my year round happy color (it was also my wedding accent color)!
What I love about this fabric (besides the amazing vibrant purple and feeling totally regal in this skirt) is that the fabric is soft and lightweight, it has this cool 3D texture and when pleated into a skirt, it created this beautiful flare shape all on it’s own with any additional help from a tulle liner (or petticoat). I paired this skirt with a black and white crop top and kept everything else simple but I can’t wait to try something bright and fun like color-blocking or casual with a chambray top or solid top.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

When I first saw these two fabric, I was instantly in love and wanted to create something eye catching and fun for the summer. Separately, the colors on their own are stunning, but together, the color-block combination of pink and yellow, and print on print came together like a perfect harmony of a beautiful summer’s romance. I’m not even sure if that makes sense but it sounded kind of cool. Lol. :)
This set is available now for Pre Orders with discount code FLORAL15 for 15% off, and will ship mid July 2014.
Hope you guys are having a beautiful weekend!

Some of us has always thought of fashion as a form of art because just like a painting, the same amount of artistic expression goes into a piece of clothing.
When it comes to designs, colorful prints is one of the main influences for me, and one of my favorite print year after year has been watercolor. The addition of water smoothing the rough edges of paint on paint are blurred and blended well that the end result is gently to the eyes and thus quite therapeutic. In fashion, as in art, watercolor prints retain that romantic dream-like appeal and the light, airy fusion of colors just makes me happy! If you love watercolors as much as I do, you’ll fall in love with this print. I knew I did the moment I saw the fabric and had to add it to my Custom Fit skirt collection! :)

Lately I have been obsessed with wearing white with minimal colors and accessories. It’s almost like when you have a tan, the simplest thing can look refreshing and you realized that you didn’t really need all those statement pieces to make an outfit “pop” after-all. :)
Hope you had a wonderful weekend and that your Monday is off to a great one!
