The weather was so warm this weekend that it prompted me to pull out this H&M watercolor floral tank dress. I love how all the colors are splashed together into this pretty floral print. The stretched cotton fabric with a low back detail was perfect for a night out, but for daytime, I layered it with a crisp white blouse.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and for those who celebrate, Happy  Chinese/Vietnamese New Year! xoxo

Today Was A Fairy Tale

Over the years, tulle skirts has definitely captured a big space in my heart (and my closet). Not only are they whimsical, romantic and fun to wear, there’s something magical about them that instantly makes me feel like a princess. Since it’s not every day that a regular girl becomes a princess, I guess I can pretend whenever I wear this.

I wore this over the weekend to a local all white fashion show hosted by the San Francisco Bay Area Fashion Network (SFBAfn), but wanted to add some colors to my outfit. I played around with jewel tones and wanted to use the gorgeous hues of blue, pink and green, which of course made me wish for spring to hurry and come…Don’t be fool by the gorgeous sunshine during the day, because the temperature always drop significantly in SF at night, so I traded my crochet crop top for a cozy little sweater.

When I saw the print of this fabric, I was instantly drawn to it. It reminded me of the city lights at night where I used to live. The dark and lonely sky lit up by the brilliance of bright colored lights and far in the background were mountains filled with beautiful greenery…

Not sure if you’ve noticed, but I’m kind of obsessed with skirts. I love them in all shapes, colors, prints and textures, usually the bolder the more interesting. In fact, I’d only name my humble little shop KTRcollection when the state wouldn’t let me register the name “I will forever make skirts and they will transform you into a sexilicious goddess that will stop traffic and have men throwing themselves at your feet day and night.” Ok, I’m just kidding, but what’s not to love about skirts? They are feminine, fun and best of all, versatile! :)

I hope you like this new piece. For more information on it, please visit my Shop KTRcollection tab or shoot me an email. Hope you’re having an awesome Monday so far!

Loving Him is Red

Red is such a bold and iconic color and with certainty, it is my favorite color to wear. Putting on a red dress makes me feel instantly confident, energetic and happy.

Although maxi skirts were a summer favorite, I’m definitely still in love with the floor-grazing look this fall. The easiest way to transition a maxi from summer to fall is by choosing patterns rooted in darker hues and adding layers such as a fitted jacket, scarf or sweater. Since our October weather is still sort of warm, I wore a crop top for day and added a light denim jacket for evening. I’m loving this easy breezy, fun, casual-glam look and I’m looking forward to more maxi fall outfits.

What’s your fall maxi style and do you have any suggestions on footwear with maxis?

50 Shades of Pink

These BCBGeneration hybrid pants (half leather/ half denim) are one of my favorite things to wear this season. It is kind of edgy, kind of sexy, kind of unique and is perfect for transitioning from summer to fall.

Ok, not really 50, maybe just 3 shades here. When I wrote this post, my intention was to talk about colors and how it reflect our moods, but I’m sure you rather go stuff your face in [insert bad word here] than to hear about how pink makes me feel like such a girly girl (again). So, since we are on the topic of shades, 50 and color. I love to talk about the book, “50 Shades of Grey.”

I know I’m a bit late (better than never), but what is the big appeal? I hear the writing is atrocious but somehow, the ladies can’t seem to put the books down and couples are even saying it has enhanced their romantic rendezvous. As nature has it, all the hype got me really curious. Have you read it and what’s your take on it?
