Joe's Jeans

The Basics

thebasics1

I’m a big fan of prints and colors but sometimes it’s nice to go back to basics. My basics go-to items usually consist of jeans, tank, blazer, a hat for those low maintenance days and flats to run around in. Also, I always like to bring along a pair of heels just in case we end up going somewhere in the evening. Trust me, this’ll prevent you from buying unnecessary new shoes every time.  :)

Coming back to California after 4 days in NY was, well a relief. To be honest, I can have all the fun in the world in that little big city that never sleep (or was that Vegas?) but I really miss home. Even though the temperature definitely dropped now and it sure feels like winter, it was nice that I didn’t need a wool coat, 2 pair of socks, 4 sweaters, pants on top of leggings, gloves, scarves, ok you get the picture. Glad to be back and ecstatic it is Friday!

P.S. If you are looking to find the perfect pair of black jeans that stretches and feels like your second skin, please check these Joe’s Jeans out (the Skinny/style: Dorothy). I love the ultra soft fabric that stretches but doesn’t sag after all-day wear. They are amazing and probably the best pair of skinnies I’ve ever own. Have a great weekend honey buns!

Casual Weekends

There’s nothing better than ultra soft, comfortable jeans, well maybe there are, but these Joe’s Jeans are pretty darn awesome. The soft and stretchable texture make these the first pair I’d usually reach for whenever I want to wear pants. It’s not always easy finding a perfect pair of good quality skinnies that fits in all the right places so lately I have been searching to add more comfies to my closet. A few of my other favorites are from Shop Garage, Rich & Skinny and Hudson Jeans.

A whole year of waiting for Breaking Dawn Part II is finally over! I remember the very first time I started reading the books and how I was irrevocably immersed in the fairytale that I couldn’t put down the books. I even almost purchased the life size cardboard of Edward so I can place him in our pad. Yeah, it was pretty bad.

Although I’m sure Nate is beyond thrilled and relief and that our annual 2 hour waits in movie lines is finally going to end, I’m a little sad that this is the final chapter. On the other hand, I’m really excited to see the ending tonight and relive the fantasy one last time. Well, until I get the DVDs. :)

Happy weekend guys, be safe and stay warm!

It’s about that time of the year to switch from tank tops, shorts and sandals to pants, jackets, sweaters and boots. I’m not really big on layering because I get a little claustrophobic a little too quickly but fall can still be warm for me with the perfect jacket.

One of my basic necessities for fall is a jacket that will keep me warm, isn’t overwhelming, and is chic and unique. Over the years I’ve collected a good number of jackets and this tweed knit jacket is one of my latest favorites. I was quickly drawn to the coziness of cable knit sleeves and the perfect olive shade of the tweed vest. It was a perfect subtle addition to my very basic skinny jeans and white t-shirt combination. Best of all, it kept me warm without making me too hot! Gotta love those sweater jackets!

Back to Basics

A no fuss kinda day consist of basic denims and a simple white tee. But being comfortable doesn’t mean your outfit have to be blah. The best way to spice up jeans and a tee is with key accessories: A pattern or colorful scarf, a pair of heels, a trendy bag or a chic jacket. My pick was this power shoulder studded leather jacket… which is nothing but basic.

Although I’m a skirt and dresses kind of gal, I love a good pair of jeans. I can’t stand to feel restricted so it’s important that my jeans are moveable and comfortable. Who doesn’t want jeans that’s extremely soft and are nonrestrictive… Some of my favorite jeans lately are Buffalo David Bitton, 74AM, and Citizens of Humanity and Joe’s Jeans.

What are some of your favorite denim brands and why do you love them?

I haven’t done one of my Fab4 looks in a while and wanted to do it again. This time I wanted to feature my beautiful bestie who owns the same versatile studded jacket. Isn’t she lovely? I’m secretly trying to convince her to start a style blog. I mean, she has major swag and her style is totally inspirational!  :) xoxo
