The Beauty of Kow

inkblots1

When I first saw the fabric of this skirt, I was immediately drawn to the velvety soft black splatter spots on the whitest of whites polyester and decided to give in and turned it into another one of my obsessions: those puffy pleated skirts. But I had conflicting feelings on whether the prints were splattered ink or well, cow spots, so I took it to my friends via Instagram for help. I must admit, the names Moo-Cow, Moo-Moo, Cow-wow Pow and Got Milk were pretty hilarious and quite catchy. As though I need to trade in my high heels for cowboy boots and stand next to a haystack….Inkblots and black clouds were also some my favorites but someone mentioned Kow and I love the “K,” so Kow Skirt is it! Thank you for helping me guys! :)

Leopard Spotlight

Don’t you hate it when you try to look so cool but your shirt or whatever you’re wearing is all bunched up? Yeah.

Whenever I feel like my ensemble is kind of plain, I’ll add a little bit of colors or a fun print and it’ll instantly give the outfit an extra boost. This leopard print vest is currently my favorite throw-on-anything outerwear. It’s so versatile and goes amazing with jeans + tee, leggings + sweater or just a simple dress. It’s practically the spotlight of the outfit. I said this before and I’ll say it again, when in doubt, wear leopard…….or wear red. That’s always a nice combination! Happy Friday!

xoxo,

With all the holidays right around the corner, I’m pretty sure my love affair with sparkly sequins is not going to end anytime soon.

One of my favorite KTRcollection piece shown during the KSW Runway fashion show this past September was this cobalt blue sequin skirt (seen on model here). It was made with my oversized bow detail for a more formal look, but for daytime, I tucked the bow under and paired the sparkly skirt with a casual printed t-shirt.

These days a little bling is no longer associated with a night on the town, but it is versatile and can be worn during the day if combined with the right pieces. The easiest way to incorporate sequins into your daytime wardrobe is to balance out the flashy-ness of the sequins with a casual item like a chambray, sweater/sweatshirt, or a t-shirt. I love this look because I can transition from day to night with ease and minimal changes to my outfit…

P.S. Thank you for your feedback on my last post about 50 Shades of Grey. I guess I’ll save my time and do something more worthwhile. Happy weekend and thank you for stopping by! xo

I have been looking for a furry white skirt for a while and when my girl Sab from Rouge Spark saw this at H&M, she quickly picked it up for me anticipating it will sell out (thanks babe!!) and I think it did because I haven’t seen it in stores since. Love the feminine fuzzy flare of this skirt, not quite fur, not quite fringe. Just perfect.

P.S. I noticed some has mentioned that the belt doesn’t fit or it’s out of stock in your size. You can still get it and use a leather hole punch pliers from Michaels to create holes so it will fit snug to your waist, then trim off excess leather :)

Happy Monday lovers!

Sometimes I find myself buying things and never end up wearing it. This poor little skirt for example has been sitting in the bottom of my shopping bag for half a year and I almost felt guilty when I saw her laying there looking a little pissed off (yes clothes has feelings too). The funny thing is I stalked it for months on ASOS for it to come back in stock.

In my most convincing Carrie Bradshaw voice, sometimes I can’t help but wonder, do we shop just to shop? Do we really wear everything we buy and how much money do we actually waste on clothes and accessories that we don’t wear?

Anyway, happy Wednesday loves! I’m heading off to New York today when all the NYFW craze is dying down even though NY is still the city that never sleeps, NYFW or not. I’ll be there to celebrate my friend’s last days as a single woman, attend Couture Fashion Week, visit old friends, meet new ones and you guess it, shop! :)
