For me this look is bold, vivacious, happy and a tad sassy all combined in one. I love the idea of mixing colors and prints (separately) but I was pretty happy that these two combinations fit together so harmoniously and actually looks like a dress. But the separate piece is also versatile on it’s own!

With the slightly midriff baring crop top, I decided to keep the skirt longer for a sexy yet classy look. I wore this outfit to a party over the weekend and it made me feel extra confident and empowered. This green with the delicious hue of pink is a definite fashion staple, not to mention the leopard print on print makes a bold eye catching statement!

As the weather heats up for summer, I can’t help but embrace (translation: be obsessed with) flirty and playful skirts, prints and patterns. Lucky for me, one of my favorite print is a classic… Those Pretty Polka Dots…This flirty, retro and whimsical trend is timeless and when it’s on a fun flirty skirt like this pleated little number, it exudes an undeniably youthful flair that’s incredibly timeless.

I wasn’t going to customized skirts for a while but I kept coming across amazing fabric, prints and colors (more will be coming soon). It’s hard juggling a full time career and a full time passion…I just need more hours in a day or 2-3 more hands. :)

You can purchase this Pretty Little Polka Dots skirt HERE which can be customized to fit your waist and your desired length (16″ – 20″).

I work in a pretty conservative office so my 9-5 outfits usually consist of a pencil skirt, blouse and sweater, but that doesn’t mean it has to be boring. To be honest, work attire bores me to sleep. Ok maybe it’s not that bad, but I rather be in cut-off shorts and a tee. So for the most part,  I keep work attire pretty simple but will try to insert elements of my personality by using colors, textures and shapes. I love this pencil skirt because of the length and fit but since it’s a bit tight, I opted for a flared peplum top that covers my hips, added a small belt to cinch my waist and kept the rest pretty basic with black and white.

The Crop & The Print

After trimming my bangs, for some reason the ombre highlights became very noticeable. I really love the subtle highlights so I can’t wait to get a toner touch up this weekend to darken the brightness.

One of my beloved items that I wear with almost everything high waisted these days is this crop top. Although it’s a plain basic crop, it can look totally chic when paired with fun prints and vibrant colors. Speaking of prints, I’m on a leopard high this week. It’s a neutral that’s bold, sexy, daring and a total pick-me-up whenever I want to make a little statement.

Hope you’re having a fab Wednesday so far!

One of the most worn item in my closet has got to be this chambray top from H&M. I really love how chambray compliments a lot of pieces in my closet and I especially love that it can tone down a party metallic skirt, add character to a little black dress, casualized a body hugging pencil skirt, edged up a pair of feminine lace shorts, and completes this camouflage + white tee combination. Are there anything that doesn’t go well with a chambray top? I added black pointy toe pumps to dress up the look and of course my favorite black fedora whenever I don’t feel like fussing with my hair but want to make a statement.

There’s been a few articles floating around that chambray is getting old but it’s still a favorite item of mine (for all the reasons above). So ladies, do you think chambray is played out?
