Shop this skirt HERE on Sunday, June 23rd

As you can probably guess, I’m a huge fan of all things girly… Flowy, check. Twirly, check. Bows, check. Pleats, check. Fun, feminine skirts, double checks! I started making these double bow skirts a little over a year ago when I couldn’t find a certain look that I had envisioned. I wanted the bows to be structured, boxy, over-sized and rather unique compared to the typical princess bows that’s pinched in the middle (like these).

A few tries later and this was what I came up with and I’ve been in love ever since! I’m so excited that I’ll be able to share one of my favorite creations when my online store launches this Sunday! It has been a long, sleepless and hectic process getting a small business up and running but it’s all worth it knowing I can share what I love.

The available colors for purchase will be red, pink and purple. I’m excited and hope you will love these as much as I do!

Please note: the length of the skirt I’m wearing is 16 inches but the ones available for purchase will be as follow: Size Small and Medium – 17″ long. Size Large – 18″ long.

If you have a certain color that you love, please leave let me know in the comment below!

Gone are the days of bold prints and bright colors (well, perhaps just for today) because sometimes the biggest statement is the most subtle of them all. As much I love a colorful spring, I can’t resist a monotone look that’s romantic and cozy like this chiffon lace skirt,  sheer top and over-sized knit combination. It’s one of those outfits where I can feel completely comfortable yet feminine at the same time.

I hope your week is going well so far! I have been working 12-14 hours daily and couldn’t believe my Caribbean cruise is just around the corner. I’m exhausted but beyond excited for some much needed R&R and believe it or not, I actually really look forward to the packing part. I just need help with learning how to pack everything in a tiny suitcase!

Mother nature loves to screw with my emotions because one day it’s insanely hot then the next it’s so windy that I can’t even mind my own business without getting slapped by my hair. Well, to maintain a little predictability, I wore (my hair up and) my neon lime top yesterday as I’m guaranteed to bring a load of sunshine (literally) wherever I went. I paired this top with my new favorite trumpet skirt and added gold accessories for an evening out with good company.

I purchased these Valentinos studded lace pumps a long time ago but to me, they’ll never get old. These pumps are like a tough armour plating in the form of spiky pyramid-shaped studs, providing just enough metal for a rock-chic edge, contrasting with the delicate, romantic, and feminine soft black lace overlay. It’s the perfect combination of naughty and nice and if I could describe myself as a pair of shoes, these are definitely the one. Rharr! ;)

I have always been a huge fan of Valentinos and their ultra-feminine, classy and sophisticated styles. One of my favorite place to shop for all things Valentino is at Harrods. In addition, I also love the selections of DvF and Michael Kors. Check it out when you have a chance.

Mixing prints and colors has been my favorite thing for years but lately I’m kind of drawn to the match-matchy sets. When I spotted this Hinge two of a kind skirt & blazer a while back, I thought how 80’s and felt it was too matronly to pair the two.

Well, fashion has a way of playing tricks on me because I came across this set again, tried it on, accessorized it and I had an immediate change of heart. The matchy faux-pas was thrown out the window and I found my new love for matching prints and colors. Since I’m still standing in shallow water, I didn’t want to go overboard from head to toe so I paired this set with a white top and neutral shoes to offset the prints (I still refuse to wear matching shoes/belt/purse). I love how fashion can reintroduced an idea that was once considered bad taste and made it work, because wearing this doesn’t make me feel matronly at all… I felt fearless, fun, and young!

What do you think about the matchy-matchy trend?
