Sweet November

When it comes to clothes, it’s important that I find pieces that can be worn more than once and in a variety of ways. I love to remix, recycle and remake existing things in my wardrobe.  This skirt I’m wearing is actually the same skirt I wore in my last post. I wore it as a mini by pulling it up and folding it under. The material was pretty snug so the fold stayed in place. This time, I wanted to wear it as a long pencil skirt. It was a quick fix for a different look. Which length do you prefer?

Whenever sweet November rolls around I know autumn is truly here. It is the time of year when all the leaves has transformed in it’s most beautiful shades of sunset yellows, reds, orange and gold. I can feel the slight breeze in my hair and the warm sun kissed against my neck. But why is November so sweet? For me, it’s because it’s the start of the holidays. Thanksgiving and Christmas, my favorite time of year for so many reasons.

I hope you are having a wonderful Friday so far and have a safe weekend!

I love how you’re rocking a below-the-knee pencil skirt! I’m way too short to pull it off, but you look tall and sophisticated in it! :)

    Love, S

I just love how you made your plaid skirt look so high-fashion by pairing it with heels and a pencil skirt. Not just anyone could pull that off, but you wear it so well :) I know just what you mean about remixing and recycling – it’s so crucial, especially when you have a blog! I’m at the point now where I don’t buy anything, no matter how much I love it, unless I can think of at least two ways to wear it while I’m still in the store. It’s the pieces you can wear again and again, but that still feel fresh, that stay in your wardrobe the longest.

PS: Can’t decide if I like this skirt better as a pencil or a mini- it looks fabulous both ways.

I love this gingham and tweed mix! Those shoes are super sexy! Just wish Ivanka made platform pumps, she should know that not everyone is as tall as she is. Lol

I was gonna do a blue and white gingham shirt with a grey cardigan the other day, but the gingham is too tight now. Grrrr….. Lol but maybe in light of your post I will squeeze into them ;)
Back to the length preference of the skirt; I prefer the mini on you because it shows your beautiful shapely legs, but I prefer the midi on you because it elongates your body. So you can see, I love them both!
Btw, you math captcha always gets me!
    Xoxo

Wow, I couldn’t even tell it was the same skirt! It’s so great when a piece can transform like that to give you two entirely different looks.

This is so pretty, KT, and very work-friendly but with a definitive interesting edge! I didn’t know that the skirt from your last post was actually this length; love versatile pieces like this! Of course you know how much I have a crush on those gorgeous strappy gold and black heels as well as that bag. ;) Love this look, as I do with literally all of your other looks, my dear! <3

I prefer the shorter skirt as skirts past the knee can make petite legs even shorter than they are!

    Ugh… so hard to choose…
I think I like the longer version better? I think… they are both just such fantastic looks!
How about that for being non-committal? Hee Hee

What I do know… I truly LOVE your style!

Oh, and I am a HUGE fan of items that can be mixed & matched as well. My closet is littered with them.
