When I think of suede (or faux suede), I immediately think of the 70’s swing, fringe, structure, edgy, and a-line silhouettes…so in effort to go outside of the comfort zone, I decided to recreate the 70’s into the 50’s with my signature full pleated skirt and combined it with a delicate peek-a-boo lace top for a sexy, elegant & feminine look.
Since it’s the holidays, I wanted to play with a red monotonous look but decided to subtly color block with a pink clutch + emerald green drop earrings because I couldn’t find anything else that will go at the last minute. It sort of worked out perfectly — it was a match made in holiday-colors heaven! I love this look so much so I’m sure this will be on repeat a few more times before the year is over! What you think of my take on suede and mixing it with lace? :)

Thank you!
The epitome of elegance. You never disappoint.
I really love how you transform the “70’s suede” into an elegant 50’s style pleated skirt. When I think of suede, I would never think that it will look good as this type of skirt/outfit but it looks perfect. You are such an inspiration!
This is absolutely beautiful!
WOW!! WOW! WOW!!!! This has got to be my favorite post to date! I love everything about this. The suede, the lace, the subtle color block. This is just perfection!
