Full skirts are demure, sweet and ladylike, but what’s fascinating is how they can transport me to a time in fashion history when the silhouette of a woman was truly grand. When people made a real effort to get dressed. And mostly when there was a real sense of mystery surrounding a woman’s body. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a body hugging mini from time to time, but what can create its own breeze as I walk by, swish and twirl as I turn, and gives me a sense of freedom that celebrate my femininity and comfort more than a full flowy skirt?

I wore this skirt last September to NYFW in blue and thought plum would be the perfect color for winter. I love the intensity of this color and how it can be dark yet vibrant and mysterious yet vivacious. What you think of this color?

P.S. You may have noticed that the skirt looks darker in some photos, we were experimenting with direct sunlight vs. shade for our new lens. The true color of this skirt is when it’s in the sun (see last photo).
